Skin Tones

It only took me 30 years, but I am finally comfortable in my own skin. For years I have thought things like, “If I was only ______”, or “I am too ______”, or “I need to change  ______”. Sure, there are always areas of improvement and strengthening in our lives, but I want to be thankful/comfortable in how I was created – physically, emotionally, relationally, spiritually, and even in my personality/disposition.

Through A LOT of trial & error, bumps in the road (and on the head), challenges by friends & family, winding career paths, growing up, and most of all – growing in & because of grace – I am comfortable in my own skin.

A portion of this comfort is found in my journey with skincare.

Two years ago, a good friend was so excited about Rodan + Fields skincare that I had to try it out for myself. You may ask, ‘What is Rodan + Fields?’. Well, R + F was created by the same dermatologists of Proactiv. They were led to create a line for adult skin and even adult skin problems (aging, sun damage, blemishes, etc.). Products have been nationally recognized by Allure, Forbes, and Harper’s Bazaar…just to name a few. Plus, they have something for everyone!

It. Is. Amazing.

In less than a year, I was foundation and concealer free.  [Can I get a whoop-whoop?!]

I no longer worry about make-up running down my face, looking like a [more-than-usual] crazy person because I did a horrible job applying-while-hurrying, or having a drawer full of partially used bottles of mismatched/seasonal foundations.  More importantly, I am comfortable and confident in the skin God gave me. Literally.

I finally decided to jump on the R + F train. I mean, why wouldn’t I want to share about the freedom I found with others!?

As a friend who does not [yet] use the products said, “You have the glow of a pregnant woman but without the pregnancy!“. SOLD!
