My name is Bethany and I am a…Jesus follower. People lover. Heart encourager. Humor welcomer. Quirks embracer. Picture taker. Music listener. Travel planner. Word writer. Skincare promoter. Coffee drinker. And Indianapolis dweller.

I’ve always wanted to write a memoir, but have never been intentional with the time it takes to do so. Almost daily I think, “Oooh, that would make for a great entry.” End of effort. Could I have written the thought down to ponder later? Absolutely (and I do now), but I naturally assumed all these thoughts/experiences would come flooding back when I had time and was “ready” to invest. So far, this hasn’t worked in my favor for two reasons: Ducks never really get in a row and I have a horrible memory.

I have also been prompted to share my gift of creativity with, well…someone other than myself. I’ve always loved drawing and creating but it usually stays in a drawer or on a camera. As nerve-racking as it is to put this “part of me” on the worldwide web, I know the capacity art has to inspire and move – so why be a part of that?

I started the B.A. words journey now, because it is time. Time that seems to escape me so quickly that I don’t savor life. And ‘life’ is what makes a great entry. The ups. The downs. The funnies. The fails. The mountaintops. The valleys. The adventures. The day-to-day. Every day is different and His mercies are new every morning. I want to learn, share, encourage, and provide humor. I want to remind myself (and the masses) that life is worth living…so “live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” (Ephesians 4:1b-6)

Between [potentially] percolating thoughts, publicizing my artworks, and sharing about skincare, this array of subject matter is exactly how my memoir would be – random, but hopefully, meaningful. B.A. words is the first, fairly large, step in getting that memoir started.
